Why the desktop app
iMessage & SMS, finally in the CRM
The app reads Messages on your Mac and threads each text onto the matching contact — the channel email-only CRMs can't see. Browsers have no access to it; only the native app does.
Your messages stay on your Mac
Reading happens locally. Quarters only ever receives normalized records — who, when, and the text — never your Messages database or attachments.
A real window, not a tab
Lives in your Dock and ⌘-Tab, opens where you left off, and keeps your place when you switch apps. Same Quarters, fewer distractions.
Backfills your history
First run pulls your past conversations so contacts arrive with context. After that it syncs quietly every 15 minutes.
Install — about a minute

Download & open the DMG
It's signed & notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security warning.

Drag Quarters to Applications
Then open it from Applications (or Spotlight).

Sign in
Use the same account you use in the browser — everything's already there.

Turn on iMessage sync
In Quarters open Settings → Mac app & iMessage sync, copy your device token, paste it into the app's
Connect iMessage…prompt, then grant Full Disk Access when macOS asks — that's what lets the app read~/Library/Messageslocally.
Privacy: Full Disk Access is how macOS gates reading your local Messages database. Quarters reads it on your Mac and sends only normalized records (contact identity, timestamp, message text) — your database and attachments never leave your laptop.
